Front and center is Joe. The once run of the mill boy on the farm is now a notorious being, one of extraordinary talents and traits. Little did tiny Joe's parents know that Joe would grow up to be a man held dear in the hearts of Americans everywhere...

Today, this last day of 2008, I have decided that Joe is somebody more than just another famous face in the crowd. Joe is my friend, and Joe can be your friend, too. Over the past couple of days I have been schooled on the many faces of dear Joe Johnston, and I have a funny feeling that there are more surprises to come. Sit back and relax while I share with you my new found knowledge of the awe-inspiring Joe...

I grew up down the street from Joe's Real BBQ, and always wondered who the brilliant man was behind the deliciously delicious BBQ beef sandwiches. Two days ago I was enlightened. On a winter's evening stroll with my sister through her Mr. Roger's style neighborhood, Agritopia, we chatted about good ol' Joe. To my surprise, none other than Joe himself was the mastermind behind the beautiful neighbor friendly neighborhood, complete with dog park. Just down the street of the neighborhood Rachel pointed out to me a beautiful farm, homegrown by Mr. Joe Johnston. That isn't all my friends, Joe grows that produce for his very own Farm Grill:

Here is the beautiful sign itself bearing the name of a man who is now dear to my heart: Joe. If you would like to see other developments owned by Joe, feel free to come visit me, or my family the next time you are in Arizona, we'll be happy to give you a tour.

If you can't get a hold of me, Joe can be sighted giving friendly smiles beneath his crazy farmer's hat. Just keep an eye out for a bald man wearing flannel cruising around on a blue Vespa scooter down the streets of Gilbert. Why, it was just today that a Joe sighting occurred. If you didn't have a friend before this blog post, you sure have one now-- in Joe. Nice guy, that Joe, and he makes some pretty good grub, too.
